Reading Group (11:15 am)

We are reading The Way of the Bodhisattva by Shantideva, one of the great foundational Buddhist texts by one of the greatest Buddhist authors. People of all levels of Buddhist study are welcome to this reading and discussion group.




Refuge & Bodhicitta Study And Accumuation (1:00 pm)

We will work together from 1 pm until 4 pm discussing Refuge and Bodhicitta in the Nam Cho Ngondro practice, and accumulate the Refuge mantra together. You can bring a lunch item to share at noon if you like.

Chopon Practice (1:00 pm)

We will be meeting together to go through notes on the chopon responsibilities for the Yumka practice, from 1:00 til 3:00 PM at CarolRae's house. Everyone is welcome to come and take part in this discussion. We would like as many people as possible to be able to step in and offer the chopon responsibilities for Yumka. We request 1 criteria, that you have received an empowerment for Yumka or Rigdzin Dupa, or an aspect of Yeshe Tsogyal or Guru Rinpoche.

Slower Nam Cho Ngondro (9:30 am)

Buddha in the Palm of the Hand Practice We offer our foundational practice of Nam Cho Ngondro at a slower pace with sections in English. Beginners and older students are all welcome. You may attend all of this morning's events or any one.




Discussion Group (10:30 am)

Once a month we offer a discussion group covering aspects of our foundational practice, Nam Cho Ngondro from 10:30 to 11:30 AM. Details on the topic of discussion will be posted later.

Venerable Tulku Tsori Rinpoche Talk (5:30 pm)

The Venerable Tulku Tsori Rinpoche studied at Namdroling Monastery, India, the seat of His Holiness Pema Norbu Rinpoche, and completed his monastic studies under his root guru, H.E. Khenchen Tsewang Gyatso Rinpoche. He travels through the world teaching the Path of Awakening and empowering audiences with lessons on achieving a calm mind and loving heart through the practice of compassion.




Community Potluck (7:00 pm)

Namdroling invites you to a potluck with Tulku Tsori Rinpoche in the residence following the public talk. Please bring a food or drink item for all to share. Call or email Andrew so that he can coordinate the meal.

Preparation For Khenpo Norgay Rinpoche (10:30 am)

We will be cleaning the Temple, grounds, and house while accumulating the Vajrasattva mantra (chant) in preparation for the arrival of Khenpo Tenzin Norgay on Tuesday, May 29. There are simple jobs and more difficult jobs to do. If the weather is nice there will be outside jobs. Please come and join in any time until 3 PM, even if you can only work 15 minutes. It is a day of create merit, and fun. Lunch items will be provided, donations welcomed.
