Namdroling, Montana, will be celebrating the Tibetan New Year for a 14 day period starting with Losar on February 25, 2009 and ending with a 24 hour prayer accumulation that starts on March 10 and ends on Chotrul Duchen, March 11, 2009. During this period of time, the days are called "Miracle Days" and all actions, both negative and positive, are multiplied 100 million times.
The 24 hour prayer vigil will begin on Tuesday, March 10 at 9:30 AM with Riwo Sancho and Ngondro practices, followed by accumulation of the 100 syllable mantra of Vajrasattva. We will conclude the 24 hour period on March 11 at 9:30 AM with a Shower of Blessings Tsog.
For the prayer vigil, we are asking that sangha members sign up for a two hour time slot. We need two people doing accumulations at all times to keep the prayers continuous. You are welcome to sign up for multiple time slots. If you cannot commit to a specific time, please come by for any amount of time to share in the blessings of these auspicious days. Click here to view the time slots and then email Rebecca to sign up for your time period.
